This vessel is commanded by K'orm'ra, the CO of the Qo'noS fleet of the House of K'rahl.
The design of this vessel is slightly smaller than standard and can be more easily dismantled. At one time it was only used for special missions and was stored in the cargo bay of other vessels. Now it is used in regular service.
In mid-2385, the bIQtIQ'Iw was sent to escort the SS Santa Clara to Starbase KDB. It arrived on schedule, but was too late to save the ship from a pirate attack.
